Chief of Police (Part-Time), Town of Ridgeway
The Town of Ridgeway is currently taking applications for the part-time position of Chief of Police. Ridgeway is located just off of Interstate 77 in Fairfield County 25 miles north of the City of Columbia and 12 miles southeast of the Town of Winnsboro. Patrols the incorporated areas of the Town of working two Saturdays per month and one evening shift per week. Enforces all traffic law in the Town limits to include speed limit enforcement as well as all Town ordinances and State laws.
Periodically visits business owners during their hours of operation to develop community relationships with local merchants. Periodically interacts with Town residents to encourage community policing.
Other duties as assigned during special events in the Town such as Pig on the Ridge Festival and Art on the Ridge Festival.
Must possess a Class 1 Law Enforcement Certification from the SC Criminal Justice Academy
Must be a certified radar operator
Successfully pass a background check/investigation
