Customer Service Representative/Permit Tech - Business Service Center, Town of Lexington
The Town of Lexington is accepting applications for the position of Customer Service Representative/ Permit Tech for the Town Business Service Center. This position will be responsible for assisting and guiding new businesses through the business licensing and permitting process as well as helping contractors and developers with obtaining the necessary permits to begin their projects. This position requires a high degree of professional and courteous customer service abilities in a fast paced environment as well as the ability to provide responsible administrative and clerical work in support of the efficient operations of the Town’s Business Service Center.
The position requires an associate’s degree with at least two years of experience as an administrative assistant in a professional organization. An Associate’s degree in secretarial science, with at least two years of experience as an administrative assistant in an economic development organization is preferred or any combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
