Job Duties

Plan, organize and direct the City's personnel management programs including classification and pay, employee relations, recruitment and selection, benefits administration, training and development, and related functions.

Risk Management duties such as worker's compensation, vehicle and property liability.

Ensures compliance with various federal and state regulations related to employee safety, including but not limited to OSHA, DOT (Federal and State), SCMIT (SC Municipal Insurance Trust), and SCMIRF (SC Municipal Insurance and Risk Financing Fund).

Qualifications

Recommends a bachelor's degree in human resources or equivalent to a 4 year degree with course work in Human Resources Management supplemented by a minimum of 2 years of experience in a job related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Applicant must have excellent communication skills (oral and written), personal skills, and have the ability to relate well with others.

Applicant must be computer literate with experience in Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel. Must possess a valid SC driver's license.

Pay Info
Salary range for this position is $50,564.80 - $61,609.60/year.
