Utilities Asset Coordinator/O&M Planner, Town of Lexington
The Town of Lexington is accepting applications for the position of Asset Coordinator / O&M Planner in the Utilities Department. Under general supervision, assists the Utilities supervisory staff in the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the Town’s water and wastewater systems by planning O&M tasks, scheduling locating activities and overseeing the commissioning and decommissioning of system assets. Reports directly to the Utilities Superintendent. Performs a mixture of office and field work needed to protect public health and the environment.
This position is considered essential personnel and may be called 24 hours per day, seven days per week for emergency responses. Performs related general and technical work as required.
The position requires three (3) years or more of water distribution and/or wastewater collection system experience, a SC Water Distribution Operator-Class C certification and the WEASC Collection System-Class C certification, or be able to obtain these certifications within two years. All certifications must be maintained thereafter. An associate’s degree and experience in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), asset management systems and/or 811 is preferred. Must possess a valid class D South Carolina state driver’s license. A SC class B CDL with tanker endorsement is preferred.
