The Municipal Association’s 2024 Annual Meeting is July 18 – 21 at the Hyatt Regency in Greenville. The Association's online registration process ensures municipal officials receive priority for registration and accommodations.
During the process, municipal representatives will make online hotel reservations and meeting registrations on behalf of their municipal officials during scheduled phone appointments with Association staff on June 17, 18 and 20. Please note that we will not schedule appointments on June 19 due to the holiday. The Association will conduct a drawing on June 4 to determine the order of the 30-minute appointments.
Registering for the drawing
Each municipality must choose one representative to be the point of contact for the Association during the online registration appointed time. The representative must register online for the drawing by May 31. You can also look for the link on the home page.
- May 6 – Register municipal representative online
- May 31 – Deadline to register the municipal representative for the drawing.
- June 4 – Association staff will conduct the drawing, notify the municipal representative of the appointment time and post all appointment times on the Association’s website.
Preparing for the online registration process
Before the June 17, 18 or 20 appointment time, the municipal representative must take these steps to make sure their registration is successful:
- Collect completed registration worksheets from everyone from the municipality who will attend the meeting. The worksheets and agenda and registration brochure will be available online on May 13. The brochure will be mailed on May 27.
- Arrange access to a computer, the internet and the phone number specified when registering for the drawing.
- Verify credit cards for payment.
- Use either Visa or MasterCard.
- If needed, the system will accept more than one credit card per registration.
- Confirm with each card issuer/bank that the available credit, daily spending limit, and per-transaction limits on the cards you are using (to register everyone in your city) have a limit or combined limit (if using multiple cards) that are high enough to pay for the total amount of the meeting registrations and hotel deposits that will be charged to the card. Failure to ensure sufficient credit and to remove daily or pre-transaction limits will result in a credit card decline, and the representative will not be able to complete the registration.
Understand these terms and conditions
- The meeting registration fee and hotel deposits are nonrefundable.
- Hyatt Regency Hotel, the host hotel, requires a two-night, nonrefundable deposit.
- Tickets for meals and events are refundable only if canceled before 5 p.m. on July 13.
- Hotel reservations can be made only through the Association’s online registration process.
- Only one hotel room can be reserved per meeting registrant. The Association will not make multiple hotel room reservations for a single registration.
Registering for the meeting
During the 30-minute scheduled appointment on June 17, 18 and 20, a Municipal Association staff member will call the municipal representative with instructions to
- access an online registration system,
- register all municipal officials attending the meeting,
- purchase meal and event tickets,
- reserve hotel rooms and pay deposit,
- pay with a Visa or MasterCard, and
- receive an email confirmation.
