It’s essential for municipal officials to be able to quickly take complex issues and transform them into compelling messages and actionable items for their city or town. Learn how influential leadership can drive your communication skills to be more authentic, civil and impactful.

  Greenville, SC: Building a Destination through Planning and Partnerships  
  
  The City of Greenville has become a top-rated destination for visitors and residents alike. During this session you will see how the city used public/private partnerships, development agreements and creative planning strategies to build a downtown filled with opportunities to live, work and play.  Highlights of the tour will include Camperdown Plaza, the arts district and Village of West Greenville, the Canvas Mural and a final stop at Unity Park that will conclude with lunch at the park.
  
  Registration is limited to the first 100 registrants and the registration fee includes lunch. Buses will depart from the Hyatt Regency Greenville promptly at 9 a.m. and return all registrants to that location following lunch. Comfortable walking shoes and clothing are strongly encouraged as the tour will include walking and outdoor spaces.

• First Timers’ Luncheon

  Meet other first-time Annual Meeting attendees while learning more about the Association and how to get the most out of the Annual Meeting. This event is limited to first-time attendees and requires preregistration.
   
• Welcome Reception
  Thursday, July 27        5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
  Kick off the Annual Meeting and enjoy cocktails and light hors d’oeuvres while catching up with old friends and visiting with exhibitors.
   
• Awards Luncheon
  Friday, July 28            12:15 – 2:15 p.m. 
  Cost: $50        
  Learn from the accomplishments of this year’s winners of the Municipal Achievement Awards and the Main Street South Carolina Excellence on Main Street Award.
   
• Coffee, Cake and Cocktails
  Saturday, July 29        8:00 – 10:00 p.m.
  Cost: $25
  After dinner on Saturday night, come by and enjoy a dessert and cocktail reception with DJ Dave Gilbert.  Don’t miss this opportunity to network with colleagues from across the state.
