Question: Can SC Municipal Insurance and Risk Financing Fund and SC Municipal Insurance Trust members submit certificate of insurance requests online?
Answer: Yes, Risk Management Services has added a new certificate of insurance module to the policy portal. Members have the ability to create and print certificates. Some certificates may require approval from underwriting staff based on the criteria selected when submitting the certificate. Features of the module include
- on-demand certificate access and printing,
- automatic approval of certain certificates,
- notification when a request is approved or rejected, and
- the ability to clone existing certificates to create an updated version.
Underwriting staff have created a COI module instructional document that includes step-by-step instructions.
