General Purpose: Performs responsible skilled trade and supervisory duties, directing the activities of the Streets and Sanitation Department for the Town of Saluda. Supervision Received: Works under the direct supervision of the Town Administrator and under the Mayor and Council

Ensures that garbage, debris and recyclables are collected from residential and commercial locations within the Town limits and dispose of properly. Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on all vehicles and equipment such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, performing tune-ups etc.

Performs general landscaping task such as cutting grass, edges around sidewalks, trimming trees, waters lawn and shrubs. Cleans streets, clean and maintain street signs within the Town as necessary; replacing any missing as needed.
