Pam Bergen Joins Risk Management Services as Senior SCMIT Claims Adjuster
Work Experience: Pam has over 43 years of experience as a claims adjuster handling workers’ compensation and property and casualty claims. Most recently, she worked as a senior resolution manager for Gallagher Basset.
Education: Associate in Liberal Arts from Rutledge College.
Hometown: Columbia, SC
Hobbies: She enjoys reading and spending time with her parents.
Spotlight on Risk Management Services’ Board Members
SCMIT Board Member Janet Bethea
Janet Bethea was elected to her first term on the SC Municipal Insurance Trust board in January. She has been the finance director/treasurer/human resources director for the City of Dillon since July 1995. Prior to becoming the finance director, Bethea held many roles since beginning her career with the City of Dillon. These roles include positions in the code enforcement department, city manager’s office and water department.
Bethea graduated from Latta High School and earned an accounting degree from Florence Darlington Technical College.
She is a member of the Dillon Rotary Club and a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow from the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. She is also a member of the Municipal Association’s SC Municipal Finance Officers, Clerks and Treasurers Association.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and visiting the beaches and mountains in South Carolina.
SCMIRF Board Member Rob Wolfe
SCMIRF Board Member Rob Wolfe
Elected in 2023, Rob Wolfe has served on the SC Municipal Insurance and Risk Financing Fund board for one year. He has been the town manager for the Town of Cheraw since 2023. He previously served as the planning director and Main Street program director for the town. Prior to municipal work, Wolfe served as a park ranger in South Carolina and Maryland, and participated in a year of service through AmeriCorps at a West Virginia Main Street program.
Wolfe obtained a Bachelors of Arts in history from Clemson University, Master of Arts in history from West Virginia University and Master of Public Administration from Clemson University.
He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, St. David’s Episcopal Church and The Saint David’s Society.
In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, reading, hiking and spending time with family.
2024 Risk Management Services Annual Meeting
Registration is open for the Risk Management Services Annual Members Meeting. The deadline to register for the meeting is October 29. The meeting will take place Wednesday, November 6 at the Cooperative Conference Center in Columbia. The meeting will last from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m.
