Risk Management Services Offers Online Submission Options

The Municipal Association of South Carolina’s Risk Management Services offers its members the ability to submit claims and make underwriting updates online. One of the online portals, Navrisk Central, handles online claims submissions, while the Navrisk Policy Portal is used for underwriting updates. Both are available to SC Municipal Insurance Trust and SC Municipal Insurance and Risk Financing members. SCMIT and SCMIRF require members to have certain roles assigned to them in the Municipal Association’s contact management system in order to access the online applications.

Through Navrisk Central, users can submit SCMIT and SCMIRF claims. They can attach relevant images and documents during the process. Email functionality exists in the program to provide additional details or documents after the claim has been submitted. SCMIT members can access copies of workers’ compensation forms, such as the 12A form, after the claim has been submitted. Members also have the ability to search for existing claims to review the claim status and current financials. The search icon in the top right corner should be used to search for claims. There are a variety of fields that can be used to search for specific claims. The search results can be printed and exported in a variety of formats.

The Navrisk Policy Portal is the application used to submit SCMIT and SCMIRF underwriting updates. Members can submit changes, additions or deletions for auto, inland marine and auto schedules. The portal is also used to submit renewal changes and view payroll audit documentation each year. It has reporting functionality to allow members to view and print their coverage contract, certificates of insurance, schedules, auto ID cards, estimated payrolls and invoices.
