The notice for a public hearing on the budget must be published in a newspaper of wide circulation no less than 15 days prior to the hearing. Follow the guidelines outlined in SC Code Section 6-1-80. The notice must give the date, time and location of the public hearing; the total revenues and expenditures from the current operating fiscal year’s budget; the proposed total projected revenue and operating expenditures estimated in the next year’s budget; the current millage and the estimated millage for the next fiscal year.
