The Municipal Elected Officials Institute of Government graduated 31 officials during the Municipal Association’s Annual Meeting in July. Now that these graduates have completed the required 25 hours of instruction available through the Institute, they are eligible to participate in the Advanced MEO Institute.

The next Advanced Institute sessions will take place October 13, in Columbia. Participants
will be able to choose one of two courses: “Public Safety Policy and Administration” or “Municipal Utility Policy and Administration.”

Also on October 30, the Advanced MEO Institute will offer a session that includes “Freedom of
Information Act: Making Transparency a Priority” and “A Deeper Dive Into Planning and Zoning.”
